i usta love the beautiful experince version. soooo funky and when prince starts shaving morris' hair right on stage!
but then i heard the crystal ball version, which makes the 94 one sound tame. i love the CB version!
also i love the 1999 instrumental (from ahdio show #1) - that's my current fave. the guitar work on that one is stanky and sweet.

The studio version was 2 cool. I dwnloaded it and then my computer got a virus and got deleted! i only ever listened 2 it once

Of the "official" version, TBE v. is the best. I just wish he'd cut Tommy stupid hair instead!

The Beautiful Experience is the ultimate version, Interactive, Days of Wild then Now - awesome little run of tracks. The studio version is damn cool too, but a more reserved feel to it. I even quite like Montreal - it's funky, but unfortunately it loses it's impact with the clean and missing lyrics.

Most live versions I've heard knock spots off the original studio version. Out of the ones listed
I'd have to say the version on Crystal Ball is the best. Personally, one of my favorite versions
musically is the one off the 'Love 4 One Another' TV special (unfortunately the broadcast
version has the swearing edited out, but there's just something about the groove on this
version that's great).

Check out the Instrumental version (w/ that amazing guitar solo throughout the song) @ the end of NPG Ahdio #1. This joint rocks!!!!!
