Musicology - Australian Charts for this week... This week's results:
Week 5 for the single - # 44 (down from #39 last week) Week 4 for the album - # 26 (down from #19 last week) Seems to be yo-yoing up and down a bit over the last few weeks but I think the single has had it's run, I don't think it will go back up after this week. Album is sure to drop back as well unless a good new single is released as a follow -up to renew interest in the project (not "Call My Name", maybe as a 3rd single) Let's see how things go Xperience the Peach & Black Podcast: http://peachandblack.podbean.com/

Thanks bro. Interesting. I hope he gets some more play and video rotation with Call My Name....but he needs to put it out SOON....the album is flailing a bit chart-wise. | |

Looks like Prince had made the same mistake as with Sign 'O' The Times.
An intrigueing and exciting start with the title track as the single, then If I Was Your Girlfriend, as great a song as it is U gotta be in the mood to listen to it to stick the whole track. Then they sensibly brought it back with U Got The Look. The thing about Pop Singles is its gotta grab yr attention, so that even if yr not in the mood to listen 2 that particular song U will leave it on. Call My Name doesnt fit that at all. Cinamon Girl woulda bin perfect, hope he wises up and uses it for the 3rd single.....if not....bye bye album!!

ASAP, Very Very Soon!
I kinda wish he released singles like he did back in the WB days where the first 2 singles were funk/rock/pop or upbeat to get people in, then go 4 the ballads for example Lovesexy: -Alphabet St -Glam Slam -I wish U Heaven Batman: -Batdance -Partman -Scandalous Graffiti Bridge: -Thieves in the Temple -New Power Generation -The question of U Diamonds and Pearls: -Gett Off -Cream -Diamonds & Pearls -Money Don't Matter  :
-Sexy MF -My Name IS Prince -7 -Damn U and on and on bvut then after he had a massive hit with TMBGITW, I think he thought he could replicate that success with releasing ballads and slow songs / grooves, but they never worked ( Eye hate U, Dinner with Delores, Betchabygollywow, Holy River, The One, Greatest Romance, etc, etc....and now u can add Call My Name to this list.
