The year was 1991...

The scene was Paisley Park Studios...

The wardrobe was a bikini swimsuit with suspenders accessorized with a pair of Ray-Bans and a pair of 4-wheel roller skates.

This ensemble was worn by a 5 foot black man with a big perm.

Unfortunately, unsuspecting viewers did not know this footage was a part of what they purchased.

It is probably lurking on the shelves of your videocassette collection as you read this.

Lock your windows, lock your doors. The Gangsta Glam is going to get you.

i'ma up the ante here:

the year was 1979.

the scene was on some soundstage-thing somewhere in l.a.

the wardrobe consisted of nothin but some glittery suspenders, these jinky-lookin blue gym shorts, a pair of equally jinky-lookin blue legwarmers, and a pair of gold lamé high-heeled studio 54-lookin boots that threw off the entire ensemble.

this ensemble was worn by a 5-foot-nothin brotha with a freshly permed ghetto-fabulous farrah fawcett 'do.

fortunately, not a whole lotta folks have seen this chit and probably are totally unaware of p's very first hop into the medium that is called the music video.

lawd only knows how folks would react if this were to surface on someplace like BET or sumfin, but if it ever does...the cat in the short-shortz?

HE wanted to be your lov-ahhhhh.

Wait... I the only video I've seen of "IWBYL" is the one where he's playing all of the instruments in the half-shirt halter-top thingy. You mean to tell me he actually wore that suspender shit in the other version of the video?!?!? Gold lame' boots?!?!?! After 13 years he had the audacity to update it through Gangsta Glam?!!?!?

Okay you win. I thought that promo poster was the only time he wore that. If you're telling me he made a performance clip in that ensemble. Man...
