I've got a Sign o' the Times vinyl maxi-single

and I'd like to know, because I've never been able to figure it out, who is that behind the big, black heart, and also, who is that on the back? That's not Prince, is it?

I remember buying that maxi single in 1987. It was released well before the album. The cover freaked people out because they assume that it is Prince dressed as a woman. I always knew it was Cat. In 1987, I had a friend who would not look at the cover because he was convinced that it was Prince in Drag.

He must have had convulsions after seeing the cover of lovesexy.

Well I had the 12" from the UK when it came out. Like a fool I lent it out and never got it back, but I'm sure it had an instrumental on the B-Side, but over the years memories have got cloudy. I'm pretty sure it was used as background music
during part of the BBC Omnibus documentary on Prince back in the late eighties.

Can anyone confirm it exists??? I also want! Again!

Pretty sure it doesn't exist. An instrumental of SOTT plays during the end credits of the film of the same name but it's never been released on vinyl or CD.

OK, well I've got the film so I'll have to check it out. I know that although
it was an instrumental, there was additional synth sounds on it that weren't on the
single.
