Controversey-Why no Lords Prayer I was listening to the album version of controversey 2night. Why doesn't P recite the lords prayer part, but does recite the "people call me rude..."part. Don't get me wrong, thank god he does it like that, that's the best part! But I think it's funny considering how he is now

If you read between the lines, magnify his words, turn up the volume really loud, and hire an interpretor, you'll see that he's asking (i think) "Why doesn't Prince say the Lord's Prayer during his concert performances of Controversy?" Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Revolution is right! turn that song UP! -- U should have all Prince song UP loud!!!!
Keep listening 2 it - U will hear it. Another one you should try is Automatic - (1999 Album) If U listen close U will hear Prince and Lisa and I believe Jill Jones talking! "3 1 2 1"

you must've been listening to an edit of that song....not the album version, the album version has the prayer on it. The Org is the short yellow bus of the Prince Internet fan community.

i think he means live. when prince sings controversy live on the musicology tour he doesn't sing the prayer but he sings the people call me rude bit.

The "Our Father" prayer is sort of a standard Christian prayer that might not be in line with the JW teachings. Just a guess... RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

It's from the bible. Of course it's in line with JW teachings.

Because, JW's do not believe in rote Prayers, which they feel is part of a false doctrine. All you others say Hell Yea!!
