have you guys noticed that Prince hasn't released any guitar rock orientated singles since the single "Gold" in 1995? at the time Prince stated that he thought that "gold" would be a bigger song than "Purple Rain" and then it totally flopped on the U.S singles charts only getting up to #88 and ever since then all his singles have been r&b slow jams and Musicology..my thinking here is that he had such high expectations for the Gold single and when it failed he figured if that song didnt go over forget about releasing any other rock singles and he hasn't since....just a thought
