you are a small percentage of a fan base who does not like it. Im sure there are some who do. there are some who are feeling it because it does have that "Time" feel. As the link said, it was in it's demo form and I'm actually looking forward to hearing the finished version (That's if it even makes it) Whether it's Old School OR Retread (which is almost basically the same thing IMO) It was an idea which reflects back to how it used to sound and how it was done (i listened to the lyrics) NOT HOW IT IS NOW.

Thus my point is as follows, if you dont like it because it sounds like a "retread", then what do you expect Morris & The Time to sound like?

OK FELLAS - I GOT THE SCOOP ON the demo "OLD SCHOOL" i had just happened to be at a studio in LA and ran into CHUCKII BOOKER. he was there working on some Lionel Richie mix or something. He's a real cool cat and we talked for a minute. I can tell he is a real big Prince/Jimmy Jam fan and really knew his stuff.

I had told him about that demo "Old School" and he replied exactly like "Whaaat??? awww man.. that's not even cool, he continued "that was something me & Morris were just messing around with but had no intentions of it going anywhere on ANYONES album because it was nowhere being strong enough for even finishing." He seemed as though he was really surprised and a lttle upset. I told him it had leaked on to this site and he was even more depressed. He also explained that there were more songs that him & Morris did but in NO WAY were they for the NEW TIME ALBUM. Basically, Him & Morris were "just vibing"

These were just ideas and joking around as it looks now. Seemed like he was much more worried about if cats thought he was slipping more than anything else. He even apologized but i told him it was no sweat. He then commenced to let me hear some other stuff he was working on and needless to say.. the boy is definitely not slipping. Well, i thought i'd just throw that out there since there was a gang of flack over that demo. Most of you should be happy to hear that it is not going on the new TIME CD. I think Chuckii was probably more happy about that more than anything. KEEP THE FUNK ALIVE!
