Not bad for someone who isn't getting the radio airplay of the artists above. cool . He'll be right back in the Top 10 after a few more Cailfornia and Vegas shows.

16 copies kept it from being Number 15 (Love Below has 50,186 vs Musicology 50,170). Sounds like the 2000 elections! So here are the Billboard rankings so far...

Week 1: 3
Week 2: 3
Week 3: 5
Week 4: 7
Week 5: 16

Weeks 1-4 were of course influenced by concert sales but here is what it would have been if not for concert sales.

Week 1: 3
Week 2: 5
Week 3: 7
Week 4: 10

Conclusions: 1) Concert sales have helped but not as much as cynics and critics think; 2) The album logged 4 weeks in the Top 10 and would have with or without concert sales; 3) The album has finally gotten a single out (Call My Name) that at least Urban radio is jumping on (Maybe will chart in the 40-50 range this week) and some brave pop stations with taste are playing; 4) The album has hit a nice 50,000 a week trend which hopefully will continue (only a 9% drop in sales this week)

MUSICOLOGY IS A HIT!!!!

The funny thing is, only adding one concert date would've put the little guy at #8. eek

It might have been...I miss being able to buy Billboard whenever it came out instead of relying on on-line addition. Noone in my hometown sells it any more. It's still a hit though. smile

Yeah, but I have a feeling Lenny will sink pretty fast, and Prince won't. When the concert sales kick in again he'll be top 10 again.
