It has got to be TRC. The artistic cover, whether you like the cd or not, had you picking it up to at least look at it. It's a magnificent painting which expresses a thought, a feeling (well at least I feel/see it), which also flows with the deep concept(art/feeling) of the album. Both sharing itself religiously and spiritually. Even the bright lyric pages shout at you. I just love, love that CD and everything about it.

The Lovesexy album was spiritual in art and concept as well. The cover was his attempt to convey what was contained in the album. I thought that Prince connected the photo image and the music very well--the nakedness, openness, vulnerability and surrendering oneself to the creator--The ultimate artist.

But hey an album with Prince stark naked on the cover isn't bad. Nope, not bad at all.nod I remember sleeping with the album on my pillow for a long time.nuts Hey, I was a teenager--or maybe I did it last night!horny

Evertime I look at TRC I think of Good Times with Prince's face tacked on it. lol. Otherwise its a wonderful illustration.

Sign 'o' The Times, one of the best covers of all time. I remember going to the record store, they had all the new releases in the entrance of the store. And there it was, in the middle of all the new releases. Just magical and mysterious cover art with the man in a corner, guitar on the floor, the Caddy front, the drums, the piano, the flowers and of course, the signs...

ha

The booklet of The Hits/B-Sides has some nice pictures in it. Prince had a great-hair-day I guess.
And he looks sex-ay in'em.

I LOVE Around the World In A Day design. I have a huge poster of it in my house. I think it's a MASTERPIECE! It's says Psychodelic Prince all over it. It fits the mood and content of the album perfectly.

mac 'nuff said.

sott is a definite fave of mine--the cover seems more like a painting than a photograph, the way p's off 2 the side and outta focus. nod

another one: dirty mind. never mind what p had on, i've always liked the bedsprings-as-a-backdrop concept and the look overall.

BATMAN.
(just'a kidding!)

I think that the Holographic cover on the Diamonds & Pearls CD was VERY awesome!

However - Sign O' The Times is my #1 pick.

Lovesexy should be #1 in the "bad business decision" category, because even though it was artistic...it hindered sales (the major record stores at the time couldn't put it up front with the other new releases).

Hey, the Batman CD in the black tin can looks great, as far as I'm concerned. Or is that IMHO? I'm not much for acroynms and icons.

And the TGE promo 2-disc LP with the eye hate U remixes has a GREAT design.

I love "SOTT", you barely see him in the corner, but I love that! It's just putting emphasis on the music by the cover instead of him!

This cover is classic, you only see the final glimpse of Camille, not quite escaping the scene of the crime after tearin shit up:)
