I think you're on the right track.
I believe that because the files are DRM protected they can only be played (and consequently burned) on the PC to which they are downloaded. So if your friend's PC is where you intend to burn them from, then that's where you should download them to. You'll need to have the latest version of media player installed too. I haven't actually downloaded any of these myself, so I'm only going on what I've picked up from various threads discussing it. Hopefully some kind person who has actually done it can confirm (or correct) what I've said above. Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP.

Yes, you can. Actually I had to burn my friend's files into an Audio CD in my computer because he didn't know how. He handed me a CD with the WMA files. I played it on my PC with the Windows Media Player. To do so, it requested his username and password to verify that those files had been actually bought through the NPG Music Club. I entered his username and password, and eversince I've been able to play those files on my computer and burn them into CDAudio too. Hope this helps... You don't really need to download them there -I've explained my experience on a post below-. It works mighty fine downloading your own files anywhere and take them to any PC with a CD burner. You only need the buyer username and password and the very latest version of Windows Media Player 9.

The albums are very good. On first the listen, I thought they were better than musicology.
To answer theoriginal question, yes you can. I purcahsed them while at work, then downloaded them at home. I have since converted them into "normal" CD format AND mp3 format using musicmatch (found at musicmatch.com...but you'll have to pay for the full version) yxl1

When you first transfer the WMA files into CD the dynamic sound level is very low and there is a 2 second pause in between each track. To solve this I had to burn a "test-pressing" first directly using the Windows Media Player, and then remaster it into another CD using Nero (www.nero.com). I took out the pause in between tracks and remixed the sound level to the peak maximum, then i burned the definitive "master". And now it really sounds like it should be! Professional!
