Not bad at all. Even without the concert CDs, he's had a top 10 selling album for a solid month now. With the Nashville copies factored in this week, Musicology should be around number 7 on Billboard, down from number 3. And even without the benefit of concert sales, he should hang around the top 15 or so next week. And once the tour starts back up again, he should hang in the top 10 or 15 until September. Almost 5 months straight in the top 10 and 20? I know what you mean in the interviews Prince when you say you didn't go anywhere, but this is unquestionably a commercial comeback. And even the concert copies are a testament to his commercial success. It balances out. Prince may not be able to get a song in the top 5 like Mario Winans, but I doubt Mario could sell 60-70,000 concert tickets a week to keep himself in the top 5 of the album chart. Usher probably couldn't sell that many seats either. It all balances out...

Forget P's comeback, what about Lady T (Teena Marie)?! I never expected to see her do so well. Nice to see her back ... you know, a singer with soul, talent and style!
Peace, Scott If you've got funk, you've got style.

Pretty amazing for week 4 considering the lack of a new video.

Great news. It would be nice if radio stations played the songs from Musicology the way they do with Usher's album. Even without a video that would keep it in the top 10 or 15 for a long while.
It's great that Call My Name is taking off, and that Cinnamon Girl has been heard on some stations. Time for my happy dance:

But I think Prince is trying to avoid those six-figure fees in radio promotion he would have to pay alongside Usher, Mario Winans & the rest to accomplish the same result anyway: chart appearance. However, since right before RRHOF up til now I've been hearing classic 80's Prince singles on pop radio. Guess WB's tryin to cash in on the hype around Musicology, ironically when they should have promoted him 5-10 years ago! Dumb bean counters... Peace, Scott I agree! I'm shocked and pleasantly surprised to see Lady Tee debut at Number Six.Maybe there is hope for today's R&B music after all.

It is official. #7! SHould drop down for a couple weeks now with no shows and then bounce back up a bit when the tour resumes.

actually, this current week is the only week that won't have any concert dates factored in. He goes back on tour monday, and monday's concert will count towards the totals the following week.

I just saw an ad on MTV for The Very Best of Prince, so WB is definetly cashing in on this wave. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that
