Rumor has it that it's going to happen in July. I'm pretty sure we all know what it's going to be. No word yet on how many discs or the expanded material. Has anyone else heard this? Boris?

It's all but confirmed that it's gonna be Purple Rain, right? There have been rumblings about this since last fall.

They would need access to the original tapes - you would have thought Prince would have them stored away somewhere - whether or not he has the RIGHTS to his masters, he may well have the master tapes physicaly in his possession - in which case, Warners would still have to ask him permission to use them, perhaps?
