CD-R Help..? Here's the story...
I used a CD-R 2 tryda put 5 Prince videos on'em 4 a friend 2 see. I tested'em & the clips played..but when she viewed'em she said she only got the audio of it. Now I got 1 last CD-R & I tested the 1 I already made & I only got the audio, too. I figured the last time it played the clips were cuz their on my computer already & by puttin' the disc in,maybe it trigured 4 the specific clips 2 play..cuz afta I took the disc out & usually when ya take'em out the file can't play but it did aftawards. & my questions... On CD-Rs can I put clips/videos on'em? I'm tryna put various Prince clips/videos. They're in wma/mpeg format(right b4 I burn them 2 CD). I don't plan on using them in a CD Player only desktops & laptops. She said they sounded good even from the audio but I REALLY want her 2 see them. Nething in relation 2 this specific topic will be very helpful. My 2004 August Highlights: *Tuesday 24th*-best day of my lifeI get my *LEARNERS*-Oh yeah it's ALL good!!

did U select the VideoCD (VCD) option when making the CD-R?
Maybe she hasn't got an MPEG codec (:Omfg:) which could be another problem if it works fine on yours! damn compatibility issues! 'dre Tried many flavours - but sooner or later, always go back to the Purple Kool-aid!

Sounds like you are burning the cds as Audo cds - for videos you need to burn them as DATA cds.
In Windows Media player, get the clips up you want to burn, then click Copy to CD or Device. Then where it says- CD Drive: (D) Audio CD -click and it gives you a drop down list - pick Data CD. And then continue burning. Although I have to say I never use Windows Media Player to burn CDs - Roxio or Nero are proper CD burning software with far more flexiblity. I'm surprised you haven't got any proper burning software as usually you get some included automatically when you buy a CD-RW drive. Another problem maybe that she needs to update her WMP to the latest version like yours to play them properly. As far as what other people have suggested, I don't think WMP burns VCDs, although it will play them - VCDs are like DVDs with a movie on but at a lower resolution to fit on a single CD. And CD-RW discs don't work in all drives, usually only in other CD-RW drives, so that might not be appropriate for your friend.
