Three Chains O' Gold - Prince and the New Power Generation
Pirahna Music - ISBN 1-56389-157-3 Copyright 1994 Paisley Park Enterprises Opens in Eridu, capital of Erech - somewhere in the Middle East where Prince and the NPG are just completing their last leg of the 'Sub-Rosa' tour. Prince meets Princess Mayte - they kiss and she gives him a chain with gold symbol on it. Couple of beheadings following a small fracas. Band fly back home. At Paisley Park, Vanessa Bartholemew catches up on the news. Whilst the band play cards and softball, Prince manages to fend off an assailant by playing 'The Max' loudly. Mayte appears and it becomes clear that she needs to possess all three chains to reclaim the throne from her evil uncle. Prince, Tony M et al charter a plane to break into an ancient tomb. As the plane tries to land in Eridu, the pilot gets shot. Fortunately, Sonny T has been playing Flight Simulator and manages to get the plane down. Scuffle on landing before Mayte, Prince and the band climb aboard a caravan of camels. The NPG open up their music cases and load up shotguns to use on the evil uncle and his entourage (including vanesa, who is trying to get a good story). They arrive at the Tomb of Gilgamesh, undertake a bit of Lara Croft problem-solving, and have a final confrontation with the villainous uncle who gets killed, Mayte asks Prince to marry her, but he says he's got to be getting back - probably to finish off recording the album. Final close shave with a sabre-wielding man, the three chains are restored, The End. . ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift.

That reminds me that I have a Prince comic book somewhere! I should find it. I can't even remember where I got it...maybe eBay? I remember that it has the Purple Rain image on the cover...maybe someone knows which one I'm talking about.

What does it say u when I tell U I'm a comic book fan and a Prince fan but I didn't buy the Prince comic, hmm?
Tis a bit like a Star Wars fan not buying the current batch of Star Wars comics. I'd buy almost anything with artwork by John Byrne but methinks thats for a different forum.

Prince of the comic books has suddenly developed a muscular physique. And he's taller. Only read them once. Fun to laugh at i guess.
