I think that all of the past relationships that Prince has been involved in have been for publicity purposes only. And his marriages were and are fakes. This is my opinion , and I was just wondering what the rest of you thought.

No. The first time, he went all public and was grandiose about it. The second time around it took a couple of years of speculation and heresay before anybody even confirmed it.

I don't recall ever saying he was gay. All I was asking was did you think the marriages were real.

ALL of Prince's marriages??? You act like he's Liz Taylor or something. Twice married isn't alot. And on what do you base your opinion that they are publicity stunts? He didn't even make a big announcement about his second marriage. Only one local TV news reporter mentioned that they had gotten married on New Years' Eve.

Just gotta tell ya something I notice though..Well the Cameras{PRESS} seem to Love Manuela depict her as Sweet as she is Always Smiling. They always kinda show Prince in a somewhat mean or Sinister light which is Horrible. What is That about? His hand in his jacket, Evil Glances, No Make-up...Is someone Deliberately Trying to Make Him meaning Prince look Bad or Mean? And if So Why and WHO? Anyway, I Still am Not Ever gonna Hear it!

Are you talking about the Oscars? I think Prince was just clowning for the cameras. In most of the pictures they both look good. Especially the ones from the Image awards. Also, Prince is known for not liking to have is picture taken, and I think that comes out now and again, while Mani seems more comfortable with it.

Sum1 who is narrow minded enough to be certain that Prince is gay would think that his relationships are fake.

But Prince clearly isnt the sort of person who would lie to his own soul, he wouldnt waste his precious life on fundamental things that werent true to himself.

And plus 1 of the whole life messages of Prince is to be who U wanna be, express the real you.....how could he convey this if he was a closet gay who had pretend wifes?

To answer your question...his marraige to Mayte definitely could have been although I tend to believe that they were truly in love. His marraige to Mani...well, let's put it this way...in order for it to be a publicity stunt, he would have to publicize it...and he hasn't really done that. They've been married for 2-3 years and he is just now acknowledging that she's his wife.

To answer everyone else's questions...No, I don't think either of his marriages were shams.

It might also be good to explain what you mean by fake. Marriage of convenience? Which is essentially an arranged marriage. That practice is about as old as the human race, so it would be difficult to dismiss that as fake if this is what you mean. I think he actually loved Mayte at one time, as I believe he loves Mani now.

To answer your question. No I don't think that his marriages were publicity stunts. I really think that after being a notorious bachelor that he finally was ready to settle down and get married. When he married Mayte he was pushing 40 and Mani he was past 40. I just think he was finally ready for marriage wheas he wasn't before when he was younger.
