THE CRYSTAL BALL VS EMANCIPATION The Crystal Ball was a good album but the Emancipation album was a whole lot better. What do yall think? | |

Emancipation.
Based mainly on the fact the alternate versions of songs on Crystal Ball make it really cheap. Except perhaps for Crucial CB has none of my all time favs, but Emanci' has got "The Holy River", "Somebody's Somebody" and "The Love We Make". I can't hang with emancipation, a lot of orgers really seem to love this, so I gave it a few extra listens and still can't get into it. Crystal Ball, although very dissorganized, i think has some really great moments. "Days of Wild" of course, "lovesign" "circle of amour"(which came with my CB) "18 and Over" "CB"...a lot that i'm forgeting. CB is way better, they are both sub par, but CB is way better | |

I agree, CB is much better, with some 80s classic outtakes like Good Love and Last Heart, some of the coolest shit P has done in the 90s, like Days Of Wild, Calhoun Square (this is my favorite!), What's My Name, Acknowledge Me, and Loose! CB even has some fine Emancipation era outtakes, like Goodbye, She Gave Her Angels, and Strays Of The World. And let's not forget the title track CB, it's funky fhiat! And Hide The Bone, and Crucial, the Truth album, etc, etc 555-4444 you're on coffee talk. | |
