May 17th, 1994 - The Beautiful Experience EP was born in the US. 6 days later, on May 23, in the UK, I finished my GCSEs, ran down the street, and bought this EP and Seal's second album on their UK release date.

The Beautiful Experience was fun and disappointing at the same time. I was hoping for an EP like Cream or Gett Off, which didn't seem repetitive when listened to the whole way through. TBE had some great remixes (the Mustang Mix is a classic), but I never really bought Mayte's claim that if you take away the lyrics they're really seven different songs.

Despite the tackiness of the packaging, that was a really fun part of the release - looking at all the details in the whole release, mirror messages, new photos etc.

Anyway, to celebrate, I will break out the CD and listen to it for the first time in a year or so. Who's with me?

I thought the EP was pretty crappy myself ..... although I did enjoy the EP of "I hate U"
