MUSICOLOGY #2 on Billboard next week??

With D12's sales fastly sinking and no big name debuts next week on the charts, is there a chance that MUSICOLOGY can hit #2 next week on Billboard??

Prince isn't playing any concerts this week so it's actually more likely he will fall out of the top 10 as there won't be any giveaways.

Do the copies of MUSICOLOGY that are sold at the concerts really account for that much of his sales...according to something that I saw last week, without the sales at the cocnerts, the CD still woulda been in the top 10 wink

It would have been #10 actually, without those giveaways last week. So, it's really a pretty sure bet that next week it will be out of the top 10 on it's own - unless a heck of a lot of albums that are above him now turn into bad sellers.

He needs to get another song on radio. I was looking at the billboard hot 100 and the MUSICOLOGY single is no where on there..its like #40 on the r&b charts..he needs another single

I think he definately needs a new single. I heard Call My Name was the next single but I dont think that will do any better than MUSICOLOGY. Maybe on the R&B charts but not the hot 100. [quote]

actually, these 2 shows

05.05.2004: St. Louis/MO, Savvis Center
06.05.2004: Nashville/TN, Gaylord Entertainment Center

will count on the week 4 chart. There is a delay between when the concerts happen and when they show up.

not to nit pick alan, but I think the St Louis show was picked up on last weeks chart and he will get the sales on the 1 show in Nashville on next weeks chart.

Regardless, figure around 60,000 in retail sales plus concert sales (one or two shows) will probably put him in the #10-13 range.

I predict it would be #3 for a 4th straight week!!
