Yellow Smiley Offers Me X? Huh? I always tried to figure out what this line means!
"Yellow smiley offers me X, like he's drinking 7UP, I'd rather drink six razer blades, razer blades from a paper cup". Every time I hear that "Yello Smiley" line I think of those green Mr. Yuckie stickers they made to put on poisonous household flammable items so kids wont touch them! What does "Yellow Smiley" really mean? Anyone? peace!

The Yellow Smiley symbol was THE symbol of the first acid-house generation (1987-1990). As you might also now it was the period that XTC (the drug) came back in style.
'Yellow Smiley offers me X' Somebody (one of the partypeople of those days) offers me X(TC). I rather drink six razorblades, razorblades from a paper cup. It's an anti-drug statement (one of the many) Prince makes here. Curious though is the fact that Prince used XTC at least once. Under the influence of Jill Jones he used it one night round about 1987 (according to the statement of Susan Rogers in Per Nilson's book 'Dance Music Sex Romance', THE Prince biography about the first decade of Prince's work) Art, Amsterdam. I'm a Rainbow Children, Xpectation, News and Musicology lover and I'm startin'to be a 3121 lover.
