What makes music special?

"Color and use of space and lyrics that say something new about love, even if it's, 'I love you so much I'm going to slap somebody.' "

Here is clip from the article;

>Prince's royalty crusade is behind him. He expresses respect for current partners Sony and Clear Channel, but he'd rather talk about the healing properties of sound, the genius of Miles Davis, the merits of Unabomber Ted Kaczynski's manifesto and lies the government may be telling about Osama bin Laden. He works up a sweat on the dying craft of live musicianship.<

Good article but...ummm is mentioning anything even remotely positive about Osama Bin Ladin or the Unabomber a good career move. I mean I know the man is a deep thinker but...um...regardless of politics, don't most people think Osama and the Unabomber are pretty evil scumbags. And since Edna Gunderson did not give Prince's quotes but just said that he liked to expound upon topics like these, doesn't that leave a lot to the imagination. I mean compare these two COMPLETELY FICTIONAL quotes:

FICTIONAL QUOTE 1
"I think the Unabomber and Osama are evil bastards but the media overplays certain aspects of these individuals. I mean everything the Unabomber said wasn't completely wrong about technology in society even the way that he went about proving his point was completely heinous and wrong. And Osama is a murderer but he does it because of religious belief which I understand in a way but I completely do not condone the killing of innocent people."

OR

FICTIONAL QUOTE 2
"I think the Unabomber and Osama Bin Laden are misunderstood geniuses. The Unabomber...what he wrote...that junk is tight! And Osama...well, I hear he can play a bass guitar like a mother and I think the press totally misrepresented him. What the Press doesn't want you know is that is was George Bush who was behind 9/11 entirely. Osama is my man!"

Was what Prince said closer to quote 1 or quote 2 or something completely different? It's all about context. Edna should know better than to leave that out there hanging. Shame on you, Edna!
All good things they say never last...
