There's a lot of Prince's albums that were almost finished by the time the previous
album hit the shelves. It's also worth remembering that Musicology was actually
recorded last year (at least 6 months ago, probably longer).

Yes there are talks to manufacture and distribute 'Xpectation' through Blue Note,
but that's a seperate issue, it's not the 'new album'.

I remember he was hot off the heals of the PURPLE RAIN phenomena, already released ATWIAD, and was already recording PARADE and shooting UTCM. Most of today's top artists would fall flat on their pretty faces if they did half the work this man could do!

I Remember he was Always onto the next project even before the other was Over. When Graffiti Bridge was in the Movie Theaters and he wasn't Happy with it he was Not Doing any PROMOTION for the Album and we Here in the Us didn't get the Tour either. He went to Work on the Next album.. Prince Is So Damn Critical of his Work that well Even if the Fans Enjoy stuff he will Think it's NOT Good Enough,... at an alarming rate, and until an album actually hits the shelves all bets are off.
