How do people get picked to work at Paisley Park?

Like how did Mani get picked? Where did they meet? And do you actually need experience to work for his company? Just wondering about that one.

I've wondered that myself, and what does it take to be a Paisley Park NPGMC mod. Sometimes, I get a very impolite, short, rude, noninformative, frustrated, irritated, attitudish, snobby kinda feel from them. Almost like you're bothering them if you have a question or inquiry. You get the feeling that they're sitting in front of the monitor doing this rolleyes, whenever they're making a comment. Just because you have it 'in' with Prince, doesn't make you better than any of us other fan/fams whatchumacallit.

u stalk prince, then connive your way into marrying him and taking credit for turning his life around. U become a vegetarian, weight no more than 96 pounds and look very innocent in the face when u know what is really going down behind closed doors.....
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

It's not just you who gets that impression of them. Those fools all have major attitude

The current bunch of NPGMC mods better enjoy their time in the Paisley 'inner circle', because 2 years from now they'll all be out on their asses and no one is going to give two shits that once in the past they worked for Prince in some capacity. Just ask any of the past PP DJs or people who used to work at the NPG stores or Glam Slams. The uberfaMs who got hired for those illustrious positions and who then thought they were so elite at the time to have been 'chosen' are all back in obscurity and Prince probably wouldn't know or recognize any of them if he ran over them with his purple Prowler.

I think it's funny when those people who work for Prince act like such hotshots and so superior, spouting Princebonics and regurgitating Prince's catchphrase(es) of the moment or his current philosophies like they're all Prince's little automotons. I bet they won't be talking like that in a few years when they're working at KMart or Taco Bell, reminiscing about their glory days as a PP "insider".

Har. Funny.

But, hardly.

Actually I like having security and decent pay in my employment, so working for Prince or at Paisley Park isn't something I'd even consider. If you take away the "brag value" aspect, the reality is those jobs aren't anything to get excited over.

And I do know folks who worked for Prince during different periods over these last years. What I said in my earlier post applies to every single one of them.

Well...they need to check themselves. At the risk of losing my NPGMC membership, I wanna tell some of them to "kiss my black ass!"

Sometime they get pissed at you, if you ask anything, stuff you have every right to ask. As far as I'm concerned, they're only job of importance is to wash Prince's socks and draws.

I forgot something edit...

I think most people that work in the studio have a lot of experience, or were considered a hotshot in one way or another, and are not necessarily prince fans at all.

I had a friend who worked for prince and was offered jobs for the likes of Janet Jackson and others. I think you just need talent. Prince isn't going to keep someone around who isn't going to better his businesses.

As far as getting picked to work there, I think you just need to know someone there possibly?
