The background of the MUSICOLOGY album artwork I was just thinking. The background of the MUSICOLOGY album cover (all those roots on the white backdrop). Do you think that this is a reference to the PURPLE RAIN album and WHEN DOVES CRY single cover art that had the flowers on the white backdrop? As if it's symbolising that the "flowers" (the inspiration) have grown into the "roots" of the current music culture? That's my interpretation anway. I think that it is to represent the school walls, with ivy, like you'd see at a university or whatever, as with the theme "school's in session". The whole "Musicology" thing is to educate folks... so that's my interpretation | |
