Do you feel that Mani is genuine in her expression of love for Prince? Or, is she just a "fan" who managed to work her way into Paisley and into his life? I have read alot of the reports about Mani's past, and I'm not yet decided on her motives. Help me out here

I was referring to the articles that we all have seen. About Mani being a Prince "fanatic" in school. Her "constant posts" on the alt.prince site. And her "listening to to Wanna be Your Lover" over and over again. And, I also read that she made a commitment to "becoming Prince's wife" while she was in school. Additionally, I read that Mani " would taunt Mayte at Paisley during the bad times in their marriage". But, again this information is derived from several online articles. Do anyone else have an opinion on the matter?

My personal opinion is that its none of our business. Mani might be genuine, or she might be a stalker who got lucky. Who knows? Its not our place to judge her, and it shouldn't have any bearing on our enjoyment of Prince and his music.

My question has absolutely no bearing on the extent to how much I enjoy Prince's music. I have been a fan of his for the past 20 years, and will always be. I merely asked a question to encourage different feedback. By marrying Prince, Mani was thrust into the public eye, and I wandered if she was genuine towards the man the we all love -Prince. I don't see any harm in that. Do you? Last time I checked, this was a free country. I'm not accusing Mani of anything, i just want feedback on the information that has been published on the internet. And Jedi, it was not a requirement for you to respond..

Personally, I hope that Mani is true. I would love to see Prince happy and with a family. He deserves that. People, message boards should have a bit more substance than pictures and interview clips. Do not get into an uproar when someone asks a question..Ok?

why would anyone here know whether Mani is genuine in her love for Prince. you may as well ask if anyone here knows what color and size are Mani's nipples? no one here knows, so what does it matter what a bunch of people who are ignorant to the facts think about the subject.

you know, it is okay not to have anything to talk about Prince or his life. you don't have to make up useless topics just to keep up the conversations.

Many times, in the past, I've heard people judge Mayte by their interpretation of her motives. Well, on the surface they may appear that way. All I know is that when I met her she was incredibly sweet, warm and seemed quite genuine. So, if Mayte was this way in private, I have to give the benefit of the doubt. If I meet Mani, I may get an impression of her, but I haven't. I don't want to pass judgement on anyone, especially if I don't know them.

Just take one look at them together they are ever so in love with each other, let them be. What’s the point to speculate we know nothing and it should be left this way.

Lets try and do what Prince asks us to do and that’s to respect there privacy, think about it, if others where speculating about your partner would you be please, I doubt you would.

Go join Ever in the "dime store philosophy" corner. Did you even bother to read my posts thoroughly before making your response? I doubt it. And while evryone is entitled to their opinions, I was merely asking a question. As Mani is now in the public eye, there will always be questions. I always thought it better to ask before you assume. And, that is what I have been doing. I have found that you sometimes meet people on these message boards and chats that have actually known (in some capacity) the celebrity that is spoken of. And, they can actually provide an accurate depiction to what the rest of the world speculates on. We all want what is best for Prince, as most of us have grown up listening to his music and admiring his genius. If I were in the public eye, I would too understand the public speculating on my relationships. But again, I did not accuse Mani of anything, I asked a question....
