Even though I haven't studied Pollstar grosses and such, I'm assuming (and could be incorrect) that Prince's concert grosses include the complete cost of the ticket; which would also include the "cost" of the CD.

So...Pollstar would have to take $9.99 off each ticket sold to get a truly accurate count OR the 9.99 is being counted TWICE; once for concert gross and another time for a CD sale according to Billboard.

So, he could simultaneoulsy be pumping up his grosses and sales with overlapping sales.


I certainly haven't looked into it, but it could be interesting.
