 Basically Zelaira, Prince,who we all expect 2 do everything in a "Very Special Way" , came across as Relaxed, Intelligent,Professional, & Devoted 2 maintaining the integrity of the roots of music which have shaped what we all see and hear in his own music. Principally He stated that the art of 'song' was dying, and furthered that he felt a "RESPONSIBILITY", to Educate younger (All Contemporary) muso's 2 the History of Funk, R&B, Rock & pop& Jazz influences .Most of the interview is covered in this Thread, But he did talk of Musicology,(as the study of music & Musicians) Rather than his latest Album; plus also said when asked about performing with Beyonce, practical ways in which she could improve as an Artist. Such as learning how 2 play an instrument 2 further her great ability.I personally felt This interview showed a mature tolerant PRINCE, whose sincerity as an Artist, rather than a popular comercially based 'Star',was expressed wonderfully.   ~PClinuxOS~ I've been here longer than I care to remember, ... i reckon rove was more toned down than he usually is when he is interviewing ppl. i was stressin out that prince wuld get peed off at rove for makin stupid comments like the lagerphone bit. but he took it in good humour and just went along with what rove was sayin. fingers crossed about coming back to australia hey?  welcome 2 the dawn... | |

Rove, as expected...was a complete humiliation for all of Australia! Please forgive us, and do not base your image of Aussies on that git. I emailed the Rove team informing them of the absence of reserach from the interview, and how Rove pretty much couldn't get over himself long enough to allow Prince to actually instill some respect into the interview. Standard q's, attempted 'humour' and poor skills marred what could have been a successful Australian involvement for the promotion of Musicology and the current tour....that (by the way Rove) kicked off here last October....."so when do you plan on touring Australia?"....what a loser. i agree with u on all of what u said here but was the tour from last year actually the musicology tour? c ing as it was b4 he released musicology (even tho he played on the couch and life o the party at the oct 24 sydney concert) (dunno bout the other concerts!) i thought he wuld be feeling sum xtra luvin 2 his fans n come back down 2 oz! welcome 2 the dawn... | |
