Prince and Kevin Smith haven't grasped the art of "log rolling," but what they do is lots of fun. Log rolling is the promotional strategy used when authors swap complimentary quotes on book jackets. In his recent Entertainment Weekly cover story, Prince talked about checking out Smith's latest movie, "Jersey Girl": "We walked out after an hour. Guess that's what happens when the potty mouth don't work for you anymore." Smith had a biting response: "I'm cool with him not liking 'Jersey Girl."' I ... hated his album 'Crystal Ball,' so now we're even." Magazine writer Jeff Jensen, who got the color of Prince's eyes wrong, couldn't resist talking about Symbolina's "complicated poodle haircut" and the "geometrically groomed stubble along his sharp features. Prince's carefully considered visage ... a superconductor for his considerable charm." Because of Prince's newfound faith as a Jehovah's Witness, he no longer performs "Darling Nikki." Prince is "angling for renewed relevancy while never admitting you lost it in the first place," wrote Jensen, ending with, "Guess that's what happens when the potty mouth don't work for you anymore."

you know...i found prince's comments towards smith rather rude...and smith's cystal ball rebuke was rather tame for him...i think that shows how much respect smith has for prince..sorta sad prince can't be adult enough to respect others art...

smith could have "went there" about his celebration experience.....

Here's my whole Take on the Situation. Smith Called Prince WEIRD and All at the Celebration. Maybe Prince was OFFENDED . Then Smith Again made a Dig with Crystal Ball. Now as far as CJ is Concerned she keepsPrince's NAME alive with OLD News . I Personally Don't even Care about What she Writes anymore Cause I Really Have Not Been Hearing ANYTHINg POSITIVE . When I Hear Positive I'll Notice but not Until.

CJ, to noone's surprise, tried tying that "potty mouth" comment into the one about him "angling for relevancy", as if the writer was saying "Prince isn't relevant anymore...guess that's what happens when you take away the potty mouth, huh??". Nothing could be further from the truth...

It's stupid shit like this that gets people reacting to CJ like they do to nails on a chalkboard...
