Prince's greatest post Warners work?

Stealing the idea from another thread, what do you think Prince's greatest commercial album has been so far since leaving Warners?

Emanciaption, Rave or Musicology?

And flipping it around, what has been the best non-commercial album - The Truth, Crystal Ball, NPS, The War, The Chocolate Invasion/The Slaughterhouse, The Rainbow Children, One Night Alone, ONA..L, Xpectation, C-Note or NEWS?

And then the decider - of your two bests - commercial and non-commercial - which is bestest?

And why?

I think Musicology ...and Im sure thats not just because its new to my ears.

Emancipation was good but, because of its size, I think the songs that I thought were great were obvershadowed by the songs that I wasnt to keen on...although I cant think of that many ...the majority were just"ok" to me (Disc One is my Fav by miles).

Rave was almost bootlegquality in terms of songs....I can only think of about 3 songs on there that are any good and it really signaled to me that prince wasnt interested anymore in what he was doing....this was shortly confirmed by the spell weve had up until now.

Musicology for me is the best of the 3....If Princes career past and present is a big U-shape I'd say that Musicology signifies that we have just been to teh bottom and are on the way up.

But thats just me
