Mmmm... nostalgia.

This is such a beautiful song. It's this and 'Sometimes it Snows in April"... I think it has been years since I last played this one. I urge you all to take it out of the 'dust' and play it again.

I just noticed, the ending is exactly what the song Manila from Seelenluft is based on. I was hooked on that track last year, without consciously remembering 'When We're Dancing Close and Slow'.

i'm not too fond of this song, and as much as i like Sometimes it Snows in April, its sounds nothing like it, IMO

Haven't you heard P's rehearsal version of "When We're Dancing Close And Slow", from '85?

The recording might be crude, but the live version has a dreamlike ambience and intimacy largely absent from the studio version.

I love this song too. I'd never heard it until 5 years ago, when I first bought Prince. It's a nice, romantic slow jam. This song, and With You inspired my songwriting for a couple of weeks after hearing them.

Always thought this was one of his better slow jams actually. I was never an Adore fan like most folks and always praised "When We're Dancing Close and Slow" and "International Lover" as two of his best.

Can't stand this song. One of the few that I don't care for.

i have never had 2 dust off a PRINCE album. 4 as long as i can remember i've always had at least one album on the record player, in the cassette deck or cd player. his music is like the art on my wall, i'm always surrounded by it.
