Standing in line in 15 degrees for like 2 hours to get into Rave for 100 bones US. The worst part was being out of wine, and underdressed. Its my fault for coming out in light weight east coast winter dress clothes in the middle of a Minneapolis winter. But damn, we shoulndt have had to wait that long either. After that he started having the celebrations. Still think hes a good guy, hes just got the celebrity ego (which is necessary to do what he does). They say money don't buy you luv. But it'll help w/ the search.

Jag, I had the same experience, in Detroit, in Feb, a couple of years ago. We waited 4 about 2 hrs also to get into the State theatre. I was so frozen by the time i got inside, i went 2 buy a drink, 2 warm up, and i couldn't feel my fingers to give up the cash....just gave my wallet 2 the barmaid. Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

He brushed past, said, "if you think I'm signing that picture then you are a major fool. Psyche!". I responded, "How big was the box you had to stand on to get in the picture?" He gave me a glare, I smiled, winked and walked off. HA HA!! That's great that you gave the arrogant little shit a taste of his own medicine! He deserved it!! Bravo for you Prince [This message was edited Fri May 24 14:24:31 PDT 2002 by Swinger]

I was arranging my Prince CD's in chronological order.
I got up to go to the toilet when my foot slipped on an Uptown Mag, I thusly fell backwards and sat very hard on the D + P album, which got mostly lodged in my rectum. For the rest of my life I will now have nightmares of Princes face on the cover dissapearing into my ass. [This message was edited Sat May 25 6:19:31 PDT 2002 by Epigram]

1. Whenever I tell someone that I'm a Prince fan and the person feels the need to tell EVERYONE that I like Prince as if that's the only singer I'm a fan of and that I'm a freak for liking him (which really isn't a bad thing) but it's so childish how they do it. 2. The Name Change: I had no idea what was going to happen once I told anyone about Prince when that happened. And once everyone knew about the name change and I'd tell them I was a fan, they in some way shape or form would bring up the subject. It would either come as a joke or them asking me why he changed it. Since he's changed it back to Prince, it's been easier to explain it and people understand and even respect what he did. 3. Going to Avery Fisher Hall in New York last month the day the tickets were sold to find out that they were sold out in 10 minutes and that people had been waiting since the day before to get them. It was my vaction and it was a dream to see Prince in my hometown and I would have taken my best friend to see him but luckily I saw Prince last year in San Diego so I eased my pain with that. Your number one is me! One of my friends started singing Purple Rain really loud at school and everyone was lookin' at us soo stupid! And then she'd ask me in a quiet voice,"Dee you *love* Prince?" then she'd get really loud with it, "Everyone Dee LOVES Prince!" I was beyond embarassed!

I spoke to him days later in Birmingham and he didn't recognise me..thank god. .

I think every Prince fan has a problem when you say that u like him and they say "He's gay, isn't he?". I think no he is nowhere near being gay, and when I say no he isn't, they say, yeah right.
I find it hard to put up with it, because he has never said that he was, and people like George Michael, Elton John, have millions of fans, and it seems to be alright to like George Michael, but not Prince, who has never said he was gay! Strange but True. The other most painful moment I've had was back in '93, we're due to go on a family holiday to Spain, but the problem was, that when my mum wanted to fly out was when Prince was playing at Wembley Stadium. I was pissed off to say the least, it was going to be my first Prince concert, but itwas going to be taken away from me by my mother, just to go to Spain. I pleaded with her that we could go the day after the concert, my mum said no (she has never liked Prince since the beginning, and certainly doesn't like her son listening to him all the time). It wasn't until my dad stepped in and said that he wanted to go to the concert aswell, that my mum changed it for the next day. I was so close to missing out, on what was a great, great concert. A classic in a list of many that Prince has done. I think I'll go home and put it on the stereo "My Name Is...?" Saturday 31st July 1993 Wembley Stadium, my first Prince concert, what a show, my first taste of the magic!!!

What's your most painful moment as a fam?
[quote] Is a fam the same as a fan? - Are fams NPGMC members only, or everybody who FEELS as a fam? Only that the lasts mention people have no more access to Prince's music... that's a pitty! And create classes, do you understand how I mean? I'm sorry about my English need to take some classes more. This moment here is an exemple of a painful moment as person, fan, woman, or fam. My most painful moment as a fam, was during year 1 of the NPGMC. I was truly ill when I realized he was determined to self-censor his older classic recordings and present it to club members as if it was all good!
