2004 - Prince's Biggest Money Making Year - ? Between the download service, tour, album, merch, Prince looks poised to make a great deal of money this year.
*What do you suppose he will do at the close of the tour, whether or not it goes overseas? I think the financial windfall will actually free Prince up to do even more radical releases in the future. He may not have been struggling financially, but I bet the financial breathing room this year will give him, will liberate him musically. Do you think he will step further into major label releases, or go back to being independent, with a bit higher profile? Thoughts? | |

Right now I think Prince is in the best position ever with Sony. He can be creative and experimental with NPGMC, and yet be commercial with Sony. Just might be...but more than that, it's his biggest exposure in the longest time!! A new generation of Prince fans just might be on the horizon!!  "Just like the sun, the Rainbow Children rise."
