I dont like "Sometimes it Snows..." live :( Wish he'd stop per4ming that song at the concerts. it is the only boring jam on the list, and even seeing it on the BET thing wasnt very exciting.... Straight Jacket Funk Affair

Wow, you really think so? I think it's sweet and touching when he performs it live. Amazing song altogether. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

It's good on this tour, except for when John Blackwell runs up on stage and does that RAT TAT TAT real quick and runs back off, that's kinda silly and ruins the mood for me...but it's still worth a laugh. | |

I strongly disagree. That song is great, even when heard live. I wish he's performed it during his April 30th ATLanta concert, but he didn't. When I saw him performing it on BET I was so excited because I've never heard him perform the song live. It's a beautiful song, either way it goes. GeSmi1 Baby, Baby, Baby...what's it going 2 b? | |

I have to say I agree.
Don't get me wrong - SISIA is my all-time favourite Prince song. That's precisely why I don't like it when Prince performs it live these days - he's obviously doing it to please the fans, but you can tell there are no emotions behind it. Totally ruins it for me. "How embarrasing to be human!"

I do think Sometimes It Snows..is a classic yes..but he could do something else instead..an acoustic of "I Wanna Be Your Lover" or "The Most Beautiful Girl.." (which i never heard him do live 4 some reason). Another one i wish he took out was "Question Of U" another one...its a very powerful good song...2 the fams....but if i bring my family and stuff..they aint gonna wanna hear that.. Hello!!! Geez, you can't please everybody. First off, SISIA is an incredible song. I was lucky enough to hear it live on the ONA tour stop in DC but unfortunately he didn't do it in Raleigh on the Musiciology stop.
Yes, Prince is doing SOME obscure stuff for the die-hards like us but still doing most songs that are for the masses. SISIA, DMSR, ? of U, etc. are nuggets for us. The majority of the crowd doesn't know those songs but they do know 80% of the songs from the show. That is what is still good about this tour (in addition to incredible musicianship)...there's something there for EVERYBODY! Can you people EVER not criticize the man? | |

Well, he did it on the One Nite Alone tour..so that was good enuff..but it's a lil' bit 2 slow..and i always think of the movie when i hear it....not that special compared 2 the rest on the tour. What im mad about that he performed one time and didnt again on the musicology tour is INSATIABLE!!!  ONE TIME!! NOOO!
Hell nah i aint criticizing. Man... Musicology concert was probably the best i ever seen since the video of the Sign O The Times concert. Im just sayin...that song is kinda dull live. I mean shit, I could understand being tired of hearing Nothing Compares 2 U or something, but Sometimes it Snows? Never. I just wish he'd play the full song - and hey, throw Wendy & Lisa in the mix! When I heard it live at Paisley Park back in '95, it really altered my opinion of the song and I appreciated it 10x more than I did before. The guitar work he did on that performance was amazing, and then he slid right into "A Case of You"....  NCC2012... your local Trekkie. =/\=
