They just listened to it?
Seriously, there are just a few individuals who like to gripe about at least something about everything. Life "O" The Party fits that slot.

I don't like it whatsoever... wouldn't even consider having my friends listen to it as a Prince song.
But that is exactly what amazes me about his music. There are hundreds out there who actually think this is one of Musicology's highlights. And you really can't argue about it.

one reason i still listen 2 it eventually (and Reflection). My friend liked the song... I guess that's because he saw the show with me and liked it. Yeah it is the fans and orgers who despise it. Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

I noticed that non-fans love LOTP. It's strange. Apart from Cinnamon Girl, it's the absolute worse. You know what, though? It's not necessarily the music. It's the cheesy-ass, fourth-grader lyrics. Very uninspiring...but I don't think that that was P's goal. The goal was to make a pop record. Some of the lyrics are funny but I suppose that it wasn't mean to be thought-provoking or intellectually stimulating.

I'd like it, if it didn't have that weird dated strangulated female(Candy?)vocal
