Co-Sign I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Yes, he really should do more album covers. 1999 was the best.

Oooh, errmmm, ahhh, well, yes, armm..what site is this?...ermm, mmm, .....Prince?
Actually, in reality I'd have to say Elvis. Now I don't actually like Elvis, but he definately revolutionised pop music in the the 20th century, as well as the notion of pop stardom, and pop stars appearing in rubbishy films! I mean, we even talk about the 'Elvis period' of a pop star's life, when they become drunk, lazy and fat on their own success!

I think the question was; 'the best artist ever' not the best artists' canvas. I'm sorry I couldn't resist. Blue

James Brown. IMO, he's the most influential person in the history of music.
It's hard to find someone in music who doesn't owe a great debt to The Godfather. JERKIN' EVERYTHING IN SIGHT!!!!!

It's hard to find someone in music who doesn't owe a great debt to The Godfather. nope. try again. That's three guesses, Hiin! Give us the answer!!! No, really, I have no clue. I could give you my favorite (Prince) the greatest artist with whom I am familiar (Ellington, a masterful composer). What do you think???? Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

I'll give a hint: my answer is somewhere between Prince and maybe i'll just keep negating all those who don't give THE (my!) Answer. that was kinda fun, anyhow. i's just playin' y'all I should know ellington better than i do, I'll have to admit. But i guess the thread-question includes artists of every kind and medium. Hmmm. That changes things a lot, and opens up so many more options, So i guess in that case i would have to say... PRINCE! Welcome to the New World Odor and
