Musicology charts at #3 again this week...details... It looks like Musicology will be number three again on the Billboard charts this week. According to Soundscan Prince sold 171,806 copies this week for a two week total of 363,625. That's a bit more than a 10% drop in sales, great for a second sales week of any album. It looks like the non-traditional category is where the concert sales are going.
Store Sales Breakout... This week - Last Week - Total Chain sales 52890 - 107240 = 160224 Independent 12000 - 16969 = 29256 Mass Merch 34901 - 52633 = 87608 Non Traditional 72015 - 14436 = 86535 Positivity Y'All!!! It'll be interesting to see how the concert CD's affect chart position with him taking a two and a half week break soon before the next leg of the tour. There will be a couple weeks without any concert sales tallyed and then they'll kick in again so potentially it might drop down a couple weeks and bounce back up.
Hey maybe in the break from the tour he'll shoot a video or two?

He could do Oprah, perform in Today's Summer Concert Series, or Good Morning America, Letterman, Leno. It may keep the album from falling too far off the upper part of the chart. Still I think it will stay at the Top 20 at least.
