As a promoter of a brand new funk, old skool, modern rnb club in Sydney, I get to put on alot of album launches for many of todays artists.

On 1 May, Sony have asked me to do a MUSICOLOGY launch. As the club has a funk/old skool vibe, Im considering asking the DJ's to do some Prince tributes - obviously not everyone (unfortunately) in Sydney is a fam, so it will be pretty mainstream.

Anyways, if any of you are in Sydney, be sure to stop by. Im hitting Sony up for some posters and merch (if available) so there maybe some cool stuff to take home.

The word from Sony is that this album IS A PRIORITY for them. Great to hear.

starts at 10pm costing $15 to get in and they'll be playing "a lot" of Prince music and giving away a lot of Prince things apparently...it'll be celebrating his career apparently

Basically, there will be a bunch of Musicology giveaways, most likely only cd's, waiting on confirmation of what Sony can provide.

The DJ's have all been instructed to play some Prince tracks during the night, will be mainly the commercial tracks, so please dont anticipate too much rare stuff.

We would love to do an all out tribute night if we can get the support for it, so you never know.

There will also be concerts, movies and clips playing throughout the night on the screens.

It's the best kind of launch that can be put on with extremely limited resources from the label and a lack of clubs in Sydney that have an appreciation for Prince.

Not trying to sound too negative ya'll, just dont want you to come in with super high hopes and xpectation.

Any orgers or fams can score discounted and vip entry. Discounted entry is $15. We will organise a special list for fams.
