I see what you mean, but I think it's just cause his head is slightly turned in the recent picture that it looks different. It does look a little "enhanced" in the new pic though..

Got my copy today. Never thought I'd see our boy back in the mainstream like this again! On the cover of Rolling Stone? Too amazing!! Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

Isn't it though? I look at the copy on my table everyday since I brought it and I'm still in awe of it. It's a great feature on our man. I wish they had more pictures and it would have been better if they showed all the covers that they've done on him in the past 25 years. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

His music IS innovative. Musicology is not. Prince is not stupid. He knew that this would be his year to get back into the mainstream. 20 year anniversary of PR, Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. If Prince was going to capitalize on this he had to release an album that would be accessible to the masses, he could not afford to release something experimental as no record company would take a chance promoting it (See Rainbow Children) So, he releases a great pop album that will appeal to most and alienate few. He has toned down the rhetoric and made himself available to the media so that people can see he is not a complete freak and give the music a chance. OOnce he is back in the mainstream he will have more flexibility to take chances (remember ATWIAD) I agree, Musicology is not groundbreaking, but it is a great album and serves as the mechanism to get our man back into the mix. Only two people had the decency to thank me...huh...in the future you b*tches can suffer and wait... (it's not that I am looking for praise, just be a little more appreciative of the efforts some of us make for the community.)
