This is a tough question to ask a group of people who don't know him, personally.

Judging from intervies and his music, he is a genius. A genius can be easily misunderstood and mis-interpreted. Starting all the way back to American Bandstand. Dick Clark was trying to be funny, but Prince mistook him as being rude. In turn Prince was a little rude to him, especially holding up the 4 fingers to answer a question.

Anyway, that kinda set the tone for his public persona, and through the years he didn't give interviews, it was hard to figure him out.

He seems really "normal"... he's extremely cool in his own 'Fonzie' kinda way... he's got a thing for the ladies... he can be an assh@!e at times (like we all can), and he can be very humble (opening night LA, during the acoustic set). He is also very generous, through his charities and opening up Paisley Park for all of us lucky enough to attend.

He is highly intelligent, you can see that with the music and lyrics he writes... but like a true Gemini, he can be the opposite at times. His faith wasn't built on a rock, so he could stand firm. No offense to anyone or any religion, but he had to be a little weak minded to be swayed into the "truth" he believes now.

But like all humans, I'm sure he just wants to be happy and loved. And if he has found his happy place, good for him. Just keep on playing your guitar brotha... "one day He'll make everything alright."

I see him as A Normal Human Being who has Normal Needs and is NOT a FREAK. I find him Calm actually. I think he Just really wants to be Left alone when not Onstage. He wants and Needs Privacy. I think the Onstage Prince is Different from the Off Stage Prince. I think if I was Allowed to be near him I would Teach him to Have More Fun and be Less Criticaland Serious. I would Love to see him Laugh More. I Think he's very Stoic sometimes. I think he Needs to Take a trip like in a Hot Air Baloon or Bungee Jump. Do Silly Kid Things . Be a Kid Again and be Free-Spirited. Eat Giant Blueberry Pancakes with TONS of CREAM...

Since I've never met Prince, I've never seen him as a person. I've only seen him as the great entertainer that he is. Plain and simple.

the way his staff handled the camera incident a few months ago and the way it's being handled now should give anyone who's wondering a pretty clear idea of what prince is like. pretty disappointing, imo. kid deserves an apology and his camera back. anything less is simply rude shit.

I see him as person but on the flip side he is something more than just a person. He is a very talented brotha who has done alot of things, alot of those things someone would view as (weird) but, he is a great. I view him as a man who re-invents himself every couple of years or so with different things but thats what makes him a truly great artist, who i love and respect. I have Prince's back no matter what, because i have just gained that much respect for a man who has changed music, and i feel there will never be another Prince..there is only one man named Prince that i can call "a absolute Musical Genius". Like Alicia said "There is only one Prince".

He is a man who is calm and likes to keep to himself, i guess, thats why he really isn't in the tabloids and stuff about sex scandals and sh*t like that because alot of that is just a mess, that i find really easy to get into, like MJ's case but i'm not even goin' get into that...

But to me Prince is one of the sexiest men in this world..I'm sorry for all of you that disagree but hey..

I think that he's really nice and that he has insight into a lot of things. Same applies to MJ-- sorry!!!
