Rove is an absolute meathead, who will I promise you all.....embarass every Australian Prince fan. I really hope and pray he doesn't stuff up the interview with corny shit that he generally goes on with in his boring, shithouse interview questions.
I already feel bad for us. Prince left us last year, with a positive feeling about our country, and now Rove will blow it all in five minutes flat! Can't tell you all how nervous I feel.

look, I know it's a bit negative to the people above but lets call a spade a spade guys.

Ive seen Richard Wilkins at a cafe at Bondi beach being interviewed for a magazine. Besides giving wanky answers to lame questions (Like "Nothing excites me more than live television"), he instructed the photographer for the interview to take MORE pictures of him in different poses (even though they stated that they had enough).

Andrew G, Sure, he's got great musical taste, but this guy looks like Richard Wilkins Jr and no doubt over time he will fill the shoes of the king of cheese himself

Yumi from Channel V is a straight up Prince hater (as demonstrated a few weeks ago on "The Know" on Musicmaxx)

and Rove is a nice guy, I will give him that but I just sit that show from start to end and not laugh once. For real, there is nothing funny in a guy sitting at a desk attempting to take a sip of coffee for 2 minutes, or taking a suburb's name and pronounce it in a funny way doesn't pass as side splitting comedy. The jokes are lame and all the big name guests are put on towards the end of the show (because after when they put them on first, people switch off and go to bed because it's not worth sitting through, and they know it, so they put the big names on last)

on that note, who can pass for having the honour to interview Prince?

Tough question. I think at best probably Molly Meldrum, and he is the worst interviewer of all time, but at least he knows his shit and would be respectful.

My greatest fear is for Rove to be the total smart arse during the interview (in an attempt to be funny) and piss Prince off to the point where he has no desire to return to Australia to tour

I still think Andrew G would be best, even if he is a bit of a tosser. I saw him at the Prince concert and he was having the time of his life, plus he has said on Channel V many times that Prince is his FAVOURITE artist. Can't be so bad if Prince is his favourite. I think Andrew G would be the only one to give Prince a modicum of RESPECT.

I also admire Molly for promoting Prince throughout his career when everyone else slagged off Prince in this country

Rove is a Letterman clone, Leno clone etc. They crap on waiting for canned laughter after saying nothing or the APPLAUSE sign to be shown to audience for simply being there. Leno is smart though and always treats him with respect.

Our man will simply go along with him and pretend to be amused whatever "the goose" says with no harm done. Give him credit please - this is the best marketing opportunity in years and I'm sure we're all happy at the increased exposure and hope it can lead to further visits to our shores in the future.

I would expect P to be much more laidback than the Richard Wilkins interview last year which was as appalling as the questions and piece of wood that interviewed him.

Remember that Rove Live usually isn't as it is often pre-recorded & editing will more than likely happen before it goes to air.

I am surprised it wasn't eddie McGuire. He's done everything except eat my grandmother's biscuits;)

And i reckon molly does know a thing or two, and would manage a decent question in there somewhere. Frankly, i think he doesn't make a bad judge on that popsstars show.

Whoever interviews him, at least were getting the chance to see him on tv in Oz.

I dont' know if Rove is an idiot, his style of interviewing is coming from a humouristic point of view, he's not a music reviewer, he's a host of a variety show! And i'm sure if Prince asked who this guy Rove is, he might know the level of seriousness his interview will be at! I wouldn't criticise his style..being a comic he seems to get a reaction from celebs dat seem candid n dte in comparison to what is portrayed by the media. Whether it does well and flops? Who knows!!! I'll be watchin tonightz dats 4 sure!!!
