WHY did people post threads about a 30 second Purple House clip.. u aint heard sh*t... the THINGS I read on that post.. made me think Prince did a collaboration with cher for Purple House..
Since I have heard the 3:39 full song.. I'll give u what its about.. Song starts out with some funky guitar playin, bluesy with a touch of a organ sound in the background, which could have been left out.. but doenst downgrade the song in anyway.. Prince singing bluesy, playin some great solo's and its what I would have expected from a tribute to Jimi Hendrix.. Im just kindof puzzled at what some people want him to do on this tribute.. Some people acted like he spray farted some solos'.. its a good tribute, it isnt jimi.. but it is prince, and its a fuckin good enough.

Good post Sdldawn...thanks for chin-checking. The album is thoroughly enjoyable and almost all of the contributors did a good job, including Prince. The clip wasn't bad in the first place anyway. Just haters wantin' to hate.
BTW Corey Glover (from Living Color) sings on the Santana contribution, Spanish Castle Magic. Interesting vocal interpretation which sheds some new light on the lyrics. Corey made me think about 'em in a new way. "Power of Soul" is definitely worth picking up.
