counting cd's at the concert evens things out i was thinking how counting the cd's at a concert evens things out for the older artists who no longer get airplay but draw big in concert...as much airplay and video exposure people like Britney Spears gets they rarely sell out big concerts (i saw one concert she did which had only 12,000 people but over 17,000 capacity) but she gets an advantage on the charts because she has so much exposure every 1 of her crap songs gets massive airplay on radio and video channels..while a group like lets say Fleetwood Mac comes out with a new song they are ignored by top 40 radio not because the music is bad its just that top 40 will no play older artists and thats not fair becuae they don't get the exposure like Britney does therefore leading to smaller album sales..i think by counting cd's at the concert they get the props they deserve for being able to sell out big stadiums....so it all evens out Britney gets her sales from radio and Video and real groups like Fleetwood Mac gets their sales counted at concerts so older artists can say *uck You to radio Check it out ...Shiny Toy Guns R gonna blowup VERY soon and bring melody back to music..you heard it here 1st! http://www.myspacecomment...theone.mp3 | |
