What will Prince do next Okay Musicology has only been in stores for a couple of weeks but I am going to be that annoying geek who asks - what will Prince do next? Don't get me wrong I am enjoying Musicology (actually it has really grown on me much to my own surprise - although I still feel strongly that it lacks a couple of killer trax).
Obviously the tour will last until the end of the year (if he adds Europe) and we may see singles/videos getting released? But if the album continues to sell strongly then Prince could (should?) capitalise on this. So what will (should) he do next? I would like to see: 1) Live DVD of the Musicology tour 2) Roadhouse Garden by Prince & The Revolution released 3) More positive development on the NPGMC site (it is finally doing what it should) with perhaps a series of live "albums" from each of his previous tours (the ultimate live experience) along with the occasional new track, demo or vault track. 'I loved him then, I love him now and will love him eternally. He's with our son now.' Mayte 21st April 2016 = the saddest quote I have ever read! RIP Prince and thanks for everything.

I am pretty sure by now - you have read ... that Prince has been quoted as saying that he is gonna release some instumental album out on "blue note" records!!?? in a recent interview ....
beyond that ... tough to say .... as far as DVD , it has been widely speculated --- since the tour has been taped alot ... (the preview was on movie theatre screenings , other copies have been played at afterparties) I would imagine that we will see a DVD release ... but its no guarantees .... it would kinda be stupid if he announced it right now - while he is trying to sell tickets to the shows , etc .....

I think a live DVD is definitely coming after the tour is completely over and it will be awesome.

i really dont think prince expected to have this much attention when he was planning all this... obviously his follow up to musicology will be really important from a commercial stand point... but i dont think a quietly put out instrumental album would hurt him... but it really depends what he wants now.. if he really wants to be a huge pop artist again the door has never been so open... whatever he does i'll be sure to follow... i would love to see how all this attention would effect him from a creative stand point... but i just feel like we have another pop master piece coming soon...

An instrumental album. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.
