I take it that by the lack of stories posted here, there are no more invites to soundchecks for NPG Music Club members on his current US tour, as was the case for the One Night Alone shows. Am I write in thinking this?

Do members still get the best seats?

The reason I ask - I'm from the UK and considering finally taking the plunge to guarantee good seats compared to the crappy ones I got for the ONA dates. (Did any of you UK NPG music members have any hassle joining and how do you pay?)

There is no soundcheck access for members during this tour. According to npgmusicclub.com, because this tour requires much more setup time than the ONA tour (which was smaller venues), soundcheck access isn't possible.

Whether or not members get the "best" seats is up for debate. The stage is in the center of the arena (the tour is hitting 20,000 seat venues), and is raised about 6' off the floor. So, if you're in the front row, you'll have "great" seats when Prince is playing your side of the stage, but you'll likely be unable to see him when the focus moves to another area of the stage.

I had second section floor seats for the concert I saw, and the seats were fine. However, being in the first section of raised seats may have been just as good if not better. Where we were, we had to strain our necks around tall folks in front of us to see the stage, and we were basically right under the large projections screens and couldn't see those, either.
