Musicology CD debuts in Australian chart at....

...Number 15 http://www.aria.com.au/albums.htm

Only 2 new CD's ranked higher, D12 at number 1 and Human Nature at number 12.

Musicology Single has dropped back from 29 to 34 confused

The only really good news in all of this is:

1 - Even though it's #15, it's entry is the highest for a Prince record in Australia in years

and

2 - HMV Australia's in house charts ranks Musicology CD at Number 3 (Behind D12 and Michael Buble), so their customers may pick it up to check it out.

The highest was Diamonds & Pearls which is his only album to make number 1 here.

You know, he has never really sold lots of albums here for some reason. confuse

Did Emancipation, NPS or Rave chart in Australia?

TMBGITW single went to number one, and the NPG's The Good Life single went top 10 (only because of the dancing divas remix though)

I think Emancipation charted for about 1-2 weeks and only got to about 50.

I'm almost sure that NPS didn't even hit the top 100. I think Rave made a debut at about 70 odd then dissapeared without a trace.

Unfortunately, unless he gets more radio play here Musicology will also dissapear pretty quick.

sad

But if you go into most chain music stores, he's getting poster and front-of-shop promotion big-time. More than any recent release since Emancipation.
