Prince penned mazarati lyrics

I remember reading in "dmsr" that Prince wrote the lyrics of 2 Mazarati songs (besides 100MPH, of course). Does somebody remember which songs it was ?

Thanx.

Kiss - but he pulled that after hearing what they had done with it, and released it himself.

Cant remember what the other one was right now...

He wrote "Jerkout" which Mazarati recorded, but it didn't appear on their album. He also wrote "Kiss" for them, but it was reclaimed by Prince.

Well, thanx, but i was talking about 2 Brownmark compositions which actually ARE on Mazarati's album. I read Per Nielsen's DMSR a few years ago (but i don't have it anymore) & he explains that during the recording sessions Prince thought that the lyrics of 2 songs were weak & wrote new lyrics that were recorded & replaced Brownmark's ones. Of course he didn't asked any credits or royalties 4 these lyrics, but according 2 either David Z or Mazarati's singer (both interviewed by Per), he DID write these lyrics. Maybe someone who has the book can help me.

Thanx.

I had this album on vinyl years ago. It would be fantastic to get it on CD but I know that's impossible. I think P and BrownMark penned many of the songs on it.

All the songs on that album have a Prince flavor, but I think it might have been 'Players Ball'.

"Strawberry Lover" was a cut from late 1982. Prince wrote the words and music. The track on the album is Prince playing every thing except bass guitar. That's Mark.
