lyrics are a bit strange, but you are right - definitely overlooked prince jam. it captures that late-89, early-90 vibe perfectly. love 89, the other prince production on patti's be yourself CD sounds very batman (trust). but my fave is i hear your voice from burnin', credited to paisley park. the lyrics are amazing. Stand at the crossroads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths...(Jeremiah 6:16) www.ancientfaithradio.com

That song totally rocks; I've always loved it. Over time, it will get much heavier rotation at my house than most of these tracks from Musicology will.

here i'll throw out another overlooked classic diamond in the rough Prince tune...
"Time Waits For No One" ...it was on one of Mavis Staples paisley park records..i don't remember anyting else from that record at all...but that one jam "Time Waits For No One" was nice, cool little guitar solo in there too... matter of fact, i need to did trough mu collection and pull that out...

I definitely prefer his version cuz it sounds absolutely beautiful and ethereal. Martika's is cool too, but it just doesn't move me the same!
