Which is your fav? I love both but my nod goes to ON THE COUCH. He sings that one with SUCH soul, vigor and emotion. Reminds me of 1974 Al Green. That song should be on the classic soul stations!

One The Couch is a sweet cut. I especially love the ending, wraps it up so classy.
But Call My Name is just superior, a more commanding presence as a piece of music, as a lasting tune.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if it (CMN) was the next single.

I pick 'CALL MY NAME'...when Prince first says 'Call me'...woohoo!!! But 'On the couch' lyrics are cooler and agree with blackwell2, it is short & sweet & I really dig that lyric about 'going down south' & I like the old school beat & feel it has.

"on the couch" to me isn't romantic or sexy..i've heard this track more than once and every time i just laugh!maybe it's the way he sings it.

call my name is probably one of the better ballads.

however....

Call My Name sounds like it's from the bog-standard Prince R'n'B ballad bargain bucket.

"on the couch", hands down. everyone keeps sayin that it sounds reminiscent of al green, but i beg to differ. it sounds a lot more in the vein of aretha franklin than al.
