Alright I think I'm going to pick this release up. From the samples it appears that the artists involved have tried to stay true to feeling of the original songs while still adding their on style.
I usually stay away from these types of releases because often times they contained perfomances where the artist tried to put their spin on someone elses material, completely changing the music and such. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This sounds scary. Believe me, I could wait a couple more months before finding out what Sting will do to an Hendrix song. There's a couple of tracks that sound interesting (including Purple House) but overall it sounds like this could be one horrible tribute cd. | |
