Several of the major video stations are still rotating cuts and new hits from a wide range of artists... but I still have yet to see Prince's Musicology What the hell is going on?? its a pretty good video. I don't know whats going on over in the USA.. but in the UK/Israel/India/European Cable networks Musicology is getting no exposure at all.

Currently they ALL are rotating these 9 acts

Usher
Blue
Sugababes
Jamelia
No Doubt
Kylie Minogue
Britney Spears

Keep an eye out for Musicology and let us know in this thread which show you saw it on and how often its being rotated. Forunately the gym I work out in has 4-5 of them playing at the same time so i'll let y'all know when it first pops up here.

I saw it yesterday on The Box or something when I was flicking. Whatever's channel 450 on Sky.

Musicology gets added here in the U.S on Vh-1 starting April 5th so maybe the same will happen in other countries

It just debuted on BET last night so I would say we need to give it a little more time.

Perhaps that's why I can't fine it at Launch, MTV, or VH1 online video services. Neither Sony nor Columbia has the video available either. And where the hell is the single!? These wreka stores think their cute because they know the release of the album. I KNOW when the album is coming out. I want the freaking single to see if there will be some new tracks or perhaps a remix.

The video is great.. (download still haven't seen it broadcast) its a little bit busy on stage but good. I like how he threw in those cheesy keyboards that I haven't heard since the first three time albums. Could have done without the self glorification applause at the end. Its a cute video with the little kid with the stars in his eyes and all..

..but I suspect that it doesn't appeal to the 16-26 age group in Y2004 at all . . maybe back in the 80s it would have worked in a video rotation. Someone who produces modern-day dance videos should work with Prince in putting one together one day. Prince would be vaulted back into superstardom in a heartbeat.

Perhaps the day is coming for classic old school videos.. they have them back in the USA?

I think he should leave it just like it is ...it's perfectly minimalist funk. And I agree, I LOVE the cheesy synths. I think his choice of covers is a huge strike against him, unfortunately...

But as far as the video goes, it's great!!! If it doesn't get played on those stations, then Universal or Sony or WB or whoever simply isn't pumping enough money into the programmer's pockets.

I saw it today on MTV, VH1, and BET. It's being played.....

It looks like it couldn't even compete with today's videos.. Would have loved to at least have seen it aired once.

It's has played 2x on MTV.

I was sad to see the video die such a fast death and the single pulled from release for not making the cut. Most dance videos are hot, sexy and wild and it would have been nice to see Musicology mixed in for a change of pace.
