Have a look at this compilation I made I made a 2-CD Prince-compilation for a friend. I called it "Essential Prince". Since the only two albums he´s got are "Purple Rain" and "The Rainbow Children", there are no tracks of those two on it. What do you think?

It's too new to be judged properly - I think it's merely okay, some think it's great, other think it's awful. Pick a song that's tried and tested. I know he has Purple Rain, but that should always be the closer to a compilation. To spice it up, maybe put a live verson of PR on there instead of the album version. I recommend one of the ONA Tour versions (perhaps from the Japanese leg or maybe from Berlin?).

[color=blue:d2bb7e0c62]PorterUk[/color] I think Dear Mr. Man works well as a closing song. It is smooth and laid-back. My friend witnessed the ONA-tour and was impressed with the material on TRC. Dear Mr. Man is the song that reminds me most of the TRC material, so I think it works. See the man with the blue guitar, maybe one day he`ll be a star... | |
